Hi I’m Mike, a 52 year old retired State Employee from Massachusetts who enjoys NASCAR racing and a slightly crazy Dale Earnhardt Jr fan. In the 1990′s I was a fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. I started watching Dale Jr in 1998 when he won his first of two Busch Series Championships. I still followed Dale Sr until his death in 2001, then watched Jr. I enjoy Dale Jr and get mad when NASCAR rules against him and continues to make bad calls. I can’t stand Jeff Gordon, so when Junior announced he’d drive for Hendrick in 2008, I made myself known to readers of 8racingfan I don’t care for the choice but will always be a Junior fan.

The photo was taken at NHIS in 2003 of a 29 car which fans can sit in. This was a big thrill to me. Maybe someday I’ll take a Richard Petty Ride-along. Someday.
